Cohen delves into the depths of psychological and physical processes, unraveling the complexities of existence while celebrating the inherent beauty and diversity of womanhood. Her work transcends surface appearance, portraying femininity as multidimensional, transformative, and deeply connected to pleasure and authenticity.

Sensuality is central to her vision—approached as a natural and integral aspect of human experience. Through her art, she creates spaces that invite empowerment, openness, and self-acceptance.

“I break free from societal norms, depicting women boldly and honestly, celebrating their passions and pleasures,”

— Cohen explains

Color plays a vital role in her work, engaging in a dialogue that mirrors the fluid and dynamic nature of the female body. Materials carry metaphorical resonance, emphasizing our tactile connection to the universe. Together, they embody the vibrancy and vulnerability that define her practice.

Her works stand as a testament to the strength and complexity of the feminine spirit. With each brushstroke and performative gesture, Cohen composes a symphony of voices—the fierce and the gentle, the bold and the tender—illuminating the richness of women’s experience.

Black and white photograph. Karina Cohen kneels on a large circular sheet of cloth spread on a tiled floor, pouring dark liquid from a glass jug into a wide black pool by her hand, her hair falling forward. A man sits on the floor behind her; six more people stand and sit watching at the edge of the cloth. Plastic bottles filled with dark liquid stand on the floor around it. Behind her, a tall carved wooden cabinet with a round medallion panel stands beside a large window, with framed pictures on the wall above.

Rooted in the present moment, her process unites body and intellect, intuition and consciousness, creating art that resonates across time and space.
